Marley was an unexpected surprise for our family. During my pregnancy I worried about the impact of
having two small children but the minute that Marley was placed in my arms I knew that everything
was going to be fine. Marley was such a sweet baby. She was content and liked to be held and
snuggled. When we found out the devastating news that Marley was afflicted with a life-limited
genetic disorder we were in disbelief. How could this precious little girl be taken from us? It
just didn't seem possible. We wanted to make sure that Marley enjoyed her life and that we lived as
normally as possible. We tried to make every day, every minute count. Marley was an engaging baby
who liked to smile and tell stories to anyone who would listen. She was the perfect second baby.
Her big sister loved to hold her and help feed her and generally terrorise her. Marley loved
watching her big sister and would smile when she would come into the room.
Daddy loved to hold and sing to his little girl and Marley would turn her gaze to his voice whenever
he came into the room.
Marley was a loveable, sweet baby who left us way too early. We knew she would not live to her
first birthday but she left us way too soon. We will never forget the way she touched our lives and
she will live forever in our hearts. We love you Marley.
I know that time must be pushing forward because sometimes I can't remember what you looked like. I have to find a picture to see your face. It breaks my heart that I am letting you slip away from me but I don't know how to stop it from happening. I still miss you and love you and would give anything to have you here with us still. Love ya peanut. Mommy

Happy 1st Birthday!
Well today you are one year old. It is hard to believe that a whole year has gone by. I am sure that you had a lovely birthday party in heaven with all of your angel friends. Mommy and Daddy are missing you very much everyday and wish that you could be here with us on this very special day. You know the pain in my heart and I can feel you sometimes reaching out to help heal the sorrow. Our lives are not the same without you here but I wouldn't trade the short time we had getting to know and love you so deeply. I love you peanut--forever.
